Lagoon Retreat is located in an elevated position in a forested conservation area. Overlooking the Sulungur lagoon with spectacular views across the beautiful Dalyan delta and Istuzu beach.

Our aim at In U Yoga is for you to enjoy a wonderful week, full of fun, laughter, beauty and tranquility. But above all I want you to leave Lagoon retreat feeling empowered, relaxed, and healthy.

We offer a full package that includes ensuite accommodation, delicious vegetarian food (we do cater for vegan and food allergies) and two daily yoga sessions.

In order to make it easy and fluid for you to enjoy the journey as much as the retreat itself, we offer the option of  transport from and to Dalaman airport which is only about half an hour from the Venue, and we can arrange a convenient transfer for you (*please note transfer is not included in our price, see below for transfer price)

 

Below is a loose outline of how your day will be spent with lots of You time in-between as well as some optional activities mentioned below*:

 

8-10 am Morning Yoga Session

 

Deep tissue stretches (Yin Yoga) leading to active yoga asana,

Vinyasa flow or Yang Taoist flow, when weather or guest’s ability permitting

Cleansing and breathing practices (breath work & pranayama)

 

*Please note that in a retreat setting is more common than not that the group will be of mixed ability and experience. I use Yin yoga, taught from a functional approach and somatic movement explorations as a platform to include all participants equally. My intention is to teach the essential steps for an affective, safe and healing yoga practice that will include everyone. After a few sessions normally we are able to move into more dynamic practices that will include all participants.

 

10.15am Breakfast

 

Free time –*Optional long excursions to archeological sites or/and  boat trip possible after breakfast till dinner (*please note that optional activities that have additional third party cost are not included in our prices)

 

2.15pm Lunch

Free time for optional hikes, gentle excursions, massages or simply staying put by the pool 

 

5-7 pm Evening Yoga     

 

Deep tissue stretches (yin yoga), restorative practices and enquiring what is necessary

Meditation, mantra chanting, assisted yin yoga, Yoga Nidra, enquiring mandala

Details 

 

During this warm yoga week, you will unwind and soften your body tissues, deeply yielding to your true self, finding enormous release of tension, improved energy levels, peace and emotional content. 

Practicing yoga twice a day: yin yoga, breathing practices and somatic movement explorations gradually developing a detoxing smooth flow in the mornings before breakfast and a more relaxing and restorative practice in the evening. Depending on the group I may include Meditation and Yoga Nidra.

Lagoon Retreat is located in an elevated position in a forested conservation area overlooking the Sülüngür Lagoon with spectacular views across the beautiful Dalyan delta and Istuzu beach. Only 25 minutes from Dalaman airport and yet the utter peace and privacy of the venue, immersed in nature, creates a wonderful atmosphere conducive to your yoga practice. Forest bathe, inhale the vital prana, tune into birdsong and the hum of cicadas.

In addition to the nearby Istuzu beach, a private beach on the lagoon can be reached by a 12-minute walk through the forest.

We are truly thrilled to have found such a beautiful venue which we are sure you will love. It’s a very special place – we would go as far to say unique – with its combination of complete seclusion (you feel as if you are on the edge of the known world) and yet accessible, situated on the edge of a traditional rural village with bus connections for getting out and about if you wish. It has unbeatable views, comfortable well-appointed accommodation, a pool and a fully equipped yoga shala. Not to mention the delicious meals for which Turkey, and Huzur Vadisi in particular, are renowned. 

We sleep in beautiful rooms amongst the carob, banana and pine singing trees under a magnificent canopy of the shiniest of stars.

We will have the opportunity to swim in the lagoon and the warm Mediterranean Sea or just stay put by the pool, unspoiled mountain walks with spectacular views , eating the fruit and vegetables grown locally in abundance is such a rare experience now a days that draws you back to the simplicity of life and the healing nature of the biology of life itself.

During this retreat you will immerse yourself into a blissful state of connection with yourself and nature. The practices we explore often release happiness, and a sense of peace and fulfilment, which allow you to fully enjoy the beauty of your surroundings and the company of others.

You will leave the retreat with a deeper understanding of your own body and its unique anatomy, which allows you to explore your full range of movement safely and effectively. I also teach pranayama and meditation. Where necessary I also use assisted Yin yoga practices, partner work and mandala group enquiry.

I shape each yoga class in response to the energetic and physical needs of the group, and this is reflected in the overall pace and rhythm of the retreat. I ensure that the tone and dynamic of the classes are in harmony with the participants, the time of the day, and the temperature.

Yoga students of all levels of experience from complete novices through to advanced practitioners. Those that would benefit most are those who wish to experience the deep healing effects of yoga, and those that wish to explore a grounded and factual practice based on a functional, dogma-free approach. 

Terms and conditions of booking:

 

For booking your place first you need to reserve your space by paying your deposit of £300 per person (non-refundable) the total balance is due one month before the retreat date.

Refunds of the deposit or the full fee cannot be made for cancellations.

We do advise that you take travel insurance.
