TERMS & CONDITIONS

Classes

 

We take bookings in advance for a predetermined, fixed date cycle. New students can join classes at any time during a cycle- please call or email for availability and prices.

​For pre-paid class cycles you must book for your preferred weekly class, for which we will reserve your space. Missed classes during any pre-paid period are not refundable or transferable to either the next cycle, or another person. However, if you miss a class you can attend another class, on another day at the same venue, if there is space. Please email to check availability.

Drop in classes must be paid before the class.

We may use substitute teachers to cover holidays, sickness and absence for professional development.

In the rare event that during a cycle of classes we have to cancel classes for a week or more, for any reason, we will extend the cycle by the corresponding amount of time. (This does not include closure for weather events or force majeure). No refunds will be given if a student cancels their booking or misses classes for any reason.

 

Private Tuition

Cancellations within 48 hours of a booking will incur a 50% fee if a mutually convenient time cannot be rearranged.

Workshops

Refunds cannot be made if you give notice of your inability to attend less than 30 days before the workshop.

Places are non transferable.

Continuum Yoga Teacher Training - Terms, Conditions and Guidelines

Practice Experience Prerequisites:

- Students should have been practicing yoga regularly for at least 2 years and have a stable practice before they embark on this Teacher Training course.

Course fees:

-       The total course fee is £2200.

-       (This does not include costs of accommodation or travel)

Terms and conditions of payment

A minimum deposit of £600 is required upon acceptance of a place on the course, followed by 10 equal monthly payments of the remainder (e.g. £160 if paying the minimum deposit) starting on the 1st of October 2019 and paid by standing order.

Plus the additional costs of TT Retreat in Turkey (or similar location- prices may vary if changed):

Shared accommodation: £525 (plus £50 if en-suite)

Single accommodation: £585 (plus £100 if en-suite)

Booking

 

A minimum deposit of  £600 will be necessary to secure your place on the course and should be paid at the time of booking.

The remaining course fee after deposit must be paid in 10 installments of £160 (or less if your deposit was larger) payable on the first day of each month beginning on 1st of October 2019 (by setting up a standing order).

Applications will be taken on a ‘first come first served’ basis and students who have paid their deposit will have priority over those who have not.

What fees include/ what is not included

Included:

Training and assessment by a qualified Yoga Alliance Professionals Senior Yoga Teacher (Gabriela Maass)

A course manual and other appropriate paperwork

A certificate (paying the fees does not guarantee you a certificate as you will need to successfully pass all assignments and attend a minimum of 80% the course).

Not included:

Flights, any transport fees, transfers, accommodation and food for yourself (but food is included on the final retreat)

Essential pre-course study and course reference books (titles will be given to you upon registration for the course)

Insurance (you can get this from Yoga Alliance Professionals for just £15 if you reside in the UK, or £20 if you reside in Ireland

Sharing Personal Details with Yoga Alliance Professionals

Upon signing up for the teacher training course your name, email address and phone number will be forwarded to our accrediting body, Yoga Alliance Professionals YAP, and you will get a free membership with YAP for the duration of your course. Residents of the UK and Ireland are eligible to add Trainee insurance for the duration of their course (£15 UK, £20 Ireland) * prices may change depending on Yoga Alliance.

We reserve the right to amend any of the above conditions at any time through- out the course.

Refund Policy Guidelines

Payment Deposit Dates: Must be made before the start of the course. The deposit is not refundable under any circumstances, nor transferable to another person or course.

Student Pulling Out of Course: The deposit would not be returned and there is no refund of any payments made before notice to pull out is received. 

Refunds of the deposit or the full fee cannot be made for cancellations

Procedure on how to make a cancellation

 

With a notification in writing to the course director.

During the course we expect

Students to arrive on time; not to re-enter the room during meditation; not to lie down during classes and lectures; not to consume food during classes and lectures; not to take pictures; and to treat other students and teachers with respect.

Minimum attendance rate: The minimum attendance rate is 80% of the contact hours of the course; that is a minimum of 147 contact hours. No refund is given for any pat of the course missed.

Students must complete assignments to a satisfactory level. If for any reason a student misses an assignment or the work is deemed unsatisfactory, the assignment must be completed or rewritten prior to the start of the next module. All assignments must be completed and approved before the last day of the course in order to receive certification. Any outstanding assignments must be completed within 8 weeks of the course finish date in order to receive certification.

We expect students to maintain a regular yoga practice throughout the duration of the course. They should be attending regular classes, at least twice a week, and have a regular home personalized practice.

 

Cancellation and alterations to course schedule

Course leaders reserve the right to cancel the course at any point due to unforeseen, exceptional circumstances. All efforts will be made to complete the training, for example by finding a replacement SYT in the event of illness.

If modules need to be postponed then alternative dates will be provided. We reserve the right to change the venue to one of a similar standard and location if necessary.

If students are unable to complete 80% of the course hours certification will not be granted. However, students are welcome to recover any missed modules in the subsequent teacher trainings free of charge, provided they have paid the full course fee. However we do not guarantee that there will be further teacher trainings, or that there will be space on future modules. We will always try to accommodate where possible.

Yoga Alliance Professionals- Complaints Procedure

There are three stages that you can follow to try to resolve the issue. We will always try to resolve any complaint as soon as possible.

You may wish to involve an advocate, friend or someone else to support you at any stage. If you need a sign language or community language interpreter please let the person dealing with the compliant know and every reasonable effort will be made to provide it.

Stage One: Speak to the individual(s) concerned and try to resolve the complaint informally on the day. If you are not satisfied with the response you have received, try to resolve the issue by following stage two.

Stage Two: Outline the details of your complaint by letter or email and send it to the person who will investigate the complaint. Your complaint will be acknowledged within 3 working days from the date it is received. The response will contain the following information: Name of the person who will investigate the complaint, the date(s) that the incident happened. What support you can expect to receive during the process of the complaint.

An expected response date. In fairness to all parties and to ensure the investigator is able to investigate the complaint in an open and meaningful way, we cannot guarantee your anonymity. In exceptional cases, however, where a child or vulnerable adult is involved, in accordance with national guidelines and good practice the identity of individuals at risk will be protected.

Stage 3: When the person(s) who are dealing with the complaint have had an opportunity to review it they will write to the tutor or person about whom the complaint has been made. The letter will outline the main elements of your complaint and ask for a full written response. At this point, if further relevant information comes to light, you may be asked for your comments to ensure the investigator has a balanced understanding. When your response has been received, the investigator will consider all the information available to them and make a decision. The response will include the following information:

Details of the investigation. A decision about whether the complaint was upheld or not, and the reason for the decision. The re-dress, if appropriate, which will be offered to you , for example, an apology, additional help, or directing you to other sources of advice or support. Any other action that may be taken in light of the complaint. If it is not possible to provide a full answer to your complaint within 30 working days, the letter will outline reasons why and give a date by which a full answer is expected.
